And one month later......

Wow! I can hardly believe Miss Em is now over a month old. She has been pretty much attached to me the whole time. Overall she is a very easy baby and I thank my lucky stars. Eats, poops, sleeps, and cries every now and again. My only real complaint is she is a grazer when she nurses. For some reason she thinks I have all the time in the world. This drives Squirt nuts! He is adjusting to life as a big brother. He'll thank us someday I am sure of it :)
Speaking of Squirt, he passed inspection at his post op. Doc wants to see him in another 6 months just to make sure the swelling goes down and if he passes that, he doesn't want to see him until he is 5! I can almost see the light at the end of this llllllllloooooooooonnnnngggggg tunnel to normal partsville!

Above Photo taken by Kim.....I just love that little face!

The only picture that turned out well for me. Keep meaning to try again but the days are short..........

Done!

To all pregnant ladies who may read this I will say some prayers for you. Pregnancy is scary.

http://www.askanob.com/umbilicalcordfindings/cordandvasaprevia.html

I had asked about my placenta during surgery and was told it was perfect. During recovery, my doctor came and told me interesting enough the umbilical cord was inserted into the membranes not the placenta. She said it was a very good thing that I had the c-section and not gone into labor on my own because of fetal demise. It wasn't until this past week I really learned what the condition was called and what it meant.
I want to Thank God and whoever else looked out for my babies and me.

Lack of Pictures

Sorry....I'm in a daze or as some would called it the "zombie mode".
We had our first doctor appointment today and she got a clean bill of health. Interesting enough, she is the only Emmarie as a patient. It is a pretty big practice and she is the one and only. Debbie said out of 30 years she had never even heard the name.

Here are some pictures that are overdue. I think she is lovely but I am totally and completely biased!

No baby yet

We are still waiting but the wait is almost over. The weeks have been flying by hence lack of updates. Squirt is healing from his surgery. It still looks funky to me but I'm just hoping that it just needs time to heal. We have a post-op appointment early October so I should have some news then.
I'm going to occupy my last few days of pregnancy with nesting, football, and sleep. B's mom is taking Squirt for a few days which is AWESOME!!!!!!! He'll be in hog heaven. She just bought a new 4-wheeler and he thinks it is his. :)
I'll try to update as soon as little one is here.

The Egg is in the Basket

Squirt had surgery this morning and it went great! He did so good. I can't even tell how easy this one was compared to the last three. I went back when they put him to sleep and he just smelled the orange gas and went snoozing. The last time he was fighting really hard and it was hard to see him that way. The procedure itself was slightly more complicated just because of the previous surgeries, but only took an hour and was a success.
When he woke, he was fighting but they quickly gave him some more meds and slept a little longer. When he finally woke he was a happy little camper. We are blessed.
Now back to my little man so I can kiss and squeeze him!
